With Valentines day upon us we thought it only fitting to use this blog post to talk about the products we love. Everyone knows about the popular iPad, iMac, iPod and MacBook, but what about the third party accessories that bring these devices to life? Here you will find some of our team’s personal favorites that can both improve and enhance the Apple user experience.
iPad loves
For iPad users our team had a few different suggestions for top notch accessories. MacOutfitters co-owner Judy H. loves the Moshi TeraGlove for cleaning pesky fingerprints off of her iPad. The TeraGlove is made from a machine washable terahedron microfiber that removes fingerprints and dust on the iPad, without the use of liquids. After playing a game of Scrabble or reading an iBook, Judy uses the TeraGlove to make her iPad screen look new again.

For iPod owners Stan M. from the Doylestown store suggests the invisibleSHIELD screen cover. While invisibleSHIELD products take some patience when it comes to the initial application, their longevity is well worth the time it takes to apply one to an iPod. Stan has had an invisibleSHIELD on an original iPod touch from more than three years ago, and it is still protecting his investment today.
Meaghan R. also from our Doylestown store, loves to use the iHome Clock Radio with her iPod. In addition to providing great speakers to broadcast your music across a room, the iHome Clock Radio works in both portrait and landscape mode, making it a useful tool for watching iTunes movies as well.
Adore your Mac
For a speaker option that can be used with your Mac, John C. from our Pittsburgh store loves Audioengine speakers. They not only make your music sound great, but are also a visually appealing accessory to complement the look of your computer set up.
Our team also loves a number of other accessories that can enhance your Mac experience and usage. For his Macbook Pro Jordan E. from our Doylestown store loves the Speck SeeThru hard shell case, not only for protecting his computer, but also for a touch of personalization. Many customers ask if Apple still makes different colored laptops, and while Apple does not, Speck does provide a way to add color to your computer.
Mike M. also from our Doylestown store, loves to use the Belkin Elevator with his Macbook Pro. The elevator provides an adjustable, raised stand to rest your notebook computer on in order to have it at eye level, or simply to add some much needed space on a small desk.
Love your multimedia
When it comes to media options for your Mac, here at MacOutfitters we provide a number of different products for TV integration. Don K, from our Cranberry store, loves the Elgato EyeTV Hybrid. Don uses the EyeTV Hybrid to not only watch TV on his Mac, but to record his favorite shows, which he can then integrate into iTunes and watch whenever he wants. Don also recommends downloading the EyeTV iPod/iPad application to complement the EyeTV Hybrid. He used the application on his iPad while he was at the Winter Classic so that he could watch the Rose Bowl at the same time.
If you are looking to go in the opposite direction and broadcast media on your Mac to your TV, Christie H from our Doylestown store loves the Dr. Bott Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter with USB Audio. Christie loves this product because it is an all in one solution to bring not only video, but also sound from your computer to an HDMI compatible TV. While it is not wireless like the popular Apple TV, the Dr. Bott adapter allows you to broadcast anything from your computer to your TV, allowing you to utilize media formats not offered in the Apple TV's interface, such as the popular Plex media player, hulu.com videos, or online high definition sports packages.
